Brief Introduction of Aluminum Products and Related Common Knowledge of Maintenance The use of matter depends on its nature. Aluminum has a wide range of uses because of its many excellent properties. (1) The density of aluminium is very small, only 2.7g/cm3. Although it is relatively soft, it can be made into various kinds of aluminium alloys, such as hard aluminium, superhard aluminium, rust-proof aluminium, cast aluminium and so on. These aluminium alloys are widely used in aircraft, automobiles, trains, ships and other manufacturing industries. It is often used as paint, commonly known as silver powder and silver paint, in order to protect iron products from corrosion and beautiful. (7) The combustion of aluminium in oxygen can emit a great deal of heat and dazzling light. It is often used to produce explosive mixtures, such as ammonium aluminium explosive (made of ammonium nitrate, charcoal powder, aluminium powder, smoke black and other combustible organic compounds), combustion mixtures (such as bombs and shells made of aluminium thermite, which can be used to attack difficult targets or tanks, artillery, etc.) and lighting mixtures (such as nitric acid). The rust of aluminium products is close to its own surface, which prevents oxygen from penetrating into the interior of aluminium. Therefore, the aluminium inside will not regenerate rust. This rust becomes the characteristic protective film of aluminium products. We call it alumina.
